The job description from Nilus
Who are we?
Applied AI for liquidity.
Corporate finance teams still manage cash by hand — stitching together spreadsheets, bank portals and ERP data across Treasury, AR and AP. Most treasury tools stop at visibility: a dashboard someone still has to read, interpret and act on.
Nilus goes further. We're building an agentic workforce for treasury — AI agents that reconcile cash, forecast liquidity and automate finance ops across every bank and ERP, in one connected system for Treasury, AR and AP.
We're a Series A company backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Felicis, Perpetual Growth and Better Tomorrow Ventures, led by a team of ex-fintech pros transforming the finance function.
The role
Nilus is hiring an FDE to sit between our customers and our product. You'll work directly with treasury and finance teams to understand how they really run cash. You'll turn that into solutions on the Nilus platform and bring what you learn back to Product and R&D so it shapes what we build next.
This role is for someone who understands treasury and thinks like a product person. You know how cash positioning, forecasting, bank reconciliation and payments fit together. You're just as comfortable designing a workflow with a customer's treasurer as you are writing requirements with a product manager.
You'll be customer-facing across the lifecycle: early solution design, rollout, adoption and expansion. You'll also be one of the strongest voices of the customer inside the company.
What you'll do
- Run deep discovery with customers and prospects to map their treasury workflows, data sources and banking setup, and design how Nilus solves them.
- Own solution design for new customers, from scoping integrations and bank connectivity to configuring forecasting, reconciliation and reporting to fit their processes.
- Design and refine the agent workflows customers run on Nilus, and turn customer-specific solutions into repeatable product patterns.
- Translate customer needs into clear product requirements, and work with Product and R&D (Tel Aviv) on prioritization, specs and validation.
- Run beta and early-access programs for new features: pick design partners, collect feedback, and confirm the feature solves the problem before general release.
- Support pre-sales when deals need product depth: solution workshops, technical deep dives and tailored demos alongside Sales.
- Partner with Customer Success on rollouts and adoption, and spot expansion opportunities based on how customers use the product.
- Create solution guides, use-case libraries and enablement content for Sales, CS and Marketing.
- Track how treasury teams, TMS platforms and competitors are evolving, and feed that into product strategy.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in corporate treasury, treasury consulting, or an FDE / product / solutions role at a fintech or TMS company
- Hands-on product experience, such as product management, product operations, or solutions work closely tied to a product roadmap
- Strong grasp of cash management workflows, banking data structures (BAI2, MT940, APIs) and reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with SaaS-based treasury management (TMS) or cash management platforms
- Proven customer-facing experience with finance and treasury leaders, from analysts to CFOs
- Comfortable with APIs, data mapping and system integrations (you won't be coding, but you'll design and scope the solution)
- Ability to write clear product requirements and turn messy customer input into structured priorities
- Hands-on interest in AI agents and how they change finance workflows
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
- NYC-based or able to work US hours
